Some were spun into fairy tale splendor by the media, like the fresh-faced first union of Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner and their miraculous remarriage after a decade-long divorce. Most were tinged with scandal, still more marred by tragedy. Humphrey Bogart fell for sultry teen Lauren Bacall; Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn had a decades-long affair, William Powell mourned the unexpected loss of his fiance Jean Harlow, and Elizabeth Taylor married...everyone. Here's a look at beginnings of three iconic couples - Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, Carole Lombard & Clark Gable, and Vivien Leigh & Laurence Oliver - from the Golden Age of Hollywood. Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz were more than lovers; they were a powerhouse business team who knew how to combine their talents while making it all look effortless onscreen with their undeniable chemistry on I Love Lucy. But, the duo made sparks long before making classic comedy. By 1940, Lucille Ball was a fixture in the B-movie scene, lending her dry wit and wide-eyed glamor to low-budget crime dramas and comedies alike. Hollywood newcomer Desi Arnaz first spotted the vivacious Lucy in the RKO commissary wearing a slinky dress, gleaming curls, and a shining black eye where her onscreen lover in Dance, Girl, Dance had decked her. Desi was initially turned-off by this tawdry-looking dame and scoffed at the thought of working with her in the upcoming Too Many Girls, an adaptation of the successful stage production that shot Desi to stardom. That same day, Desi was smitten by a tamer-looking Lucy with "beautiful blond hair and big blue eyes." "What a honk of a woman!" he supposedly exclaimed. Desi took Lucy on their first date to a nightclub, where the two sat at a small table and talked for hours. "I might as well admit it here and now I fell in love with Desi wham, bang! In five minutes," Lucy said. Lucy and Desi eloped that same year on November 30, 1940. From the beginning, they fought as hard as they loved, which set the standard for their volatile marriage that lasted twenty years. The Screwball Queen and the King of Hollywood - pretty lofty titles for these two lovers, who were more comfortable calling each other "Ma and Pa." Carole Lombard and Clark Gable first met while filming No Man of Her Own (1932), and it certainly wasn't love at first sight. They got along professionally, though Lombard's idea of professionalism was a string of elaborate practical jokes ending by her bestowing Gable with the traditional gift to her male co-stars: a ham. Gable, who was known for trysts with various leading ladies, was too busy keeping his forbidden affair with Joan Crawford under wraps to consider Lombard as anything more than a fun-loving co-star. Meanwhile, free-spirited Lombard was preoccupied trying to keep her marriage to conservative William Powell afloat (they would divorce the following year). Gable and Lombard reconnected among the stars at a Hollywood party in 1936, where their mutual attraction surprised them on the dance floor and dazzled onlookers who had never seen a more glamorous couple. Though he was already separated from his second wife, Ria, the bid for divorce was a bitter struggle for Gable. He was finally able to marry Lombard on March 29, 1939. Their marriage, however, was short-lived. Lombard, along with her mother, was tragically killed in a plane crash on January 16, 1942. By the time Vivien Leigh caught her first glimpse of Laurence "Larry" Olivier, in what she called a "virile performance," in the stage production Theatre Royal, she was becoming bored with her marriage to Leigh Holman, a barrister who turned out to be too ordinary for the worldly 22-year old. Larry's overt masculinity onstage drew Vivien backstage for an impromptu introduction, but he was already familiar with the delicate, English actress from her recent performance in The Mask of Virtue. Her "magical" looks and "beautiful poise" stirred an immediate longing in Larry, who was also disenchanted with his marriage to actress Jill Esmond. It was "an attraction of the most perturbing nature I have ever encountered," he recalled, and one he could not resist. It didn't take long for Vivien to become his mistress, and it was an all-consuming affair for both. Vivien all but abandoned her small daughter Suzanne, and Larry was in a constant furor of desire and despair as his guilt gnawed on his conscience. Eventually, the tempestuous pair were married just after midnight on August 31, 1940, but their twenty-year union crumbled under the intense strain of Vivien's manic depressive episodes and Larry's inability to cope with the disease that was often misdiagnosed and misunderstood. Valentine's Day may be over, but when it comes to Hollywood, breakups and makeups occur everyday, causing the media to hunt for the next juicy story of love found and lost in the city of angels. Unlike common relationships, these celebrities have chosen to declare their controversial romances in music videos, films, and everywhere in between. However, many of these notorious connections have not all ended in bliss. From Golden-era to modern-day, these are the top Hollywood affairs.
He's a Hollywood hunk who has played everything from a smooth talking cowboy to a seductive 18th century vampire. She's America's bad girl who isn't ashamed to lip lock her brother in public or carry herex-husband's blood in a vial around her neck. When sparks flew on the set of their film Mr. and Mrs. Smith, the press went wild over the beautiful, yet unlikely match. It's too bad that Pitt was married to America's sweetheart and former "Friends" star Jennifer Aniston. It also didn't help that on the same year Aniston filed for divorce, Pitt and Jolie were seen playing house on a 60 page photo shoot for Vanity Fair. Within months of the divorce being final, Jolie confirmed in 2006 that she was pregnant with Pitt's first child. Years later, Brangelina continues to be one of the most talked about steamy romances that ever occurred in Hollywood. Not only has Pitt adopted Jolie's three children, but in 2008, they welcomed twins in France. In addition, Brangelina continue to travel around the world for their numerous philanthropy projects, as well as entertain fans with their blockbuster hits.
After making a name for himself as one of Hollywood's finest British actors, it seemed that Jude Law was ready to settle down with girlfriend and "It-Girl" Sienna Miller. It was an ideal match, especially since the New York-born Miller adopted London as her home. After co-starring together in the 2004 film Alfie, the duo became engaged by Christmas of that year and was living with one of Law's three children from a previous marriage. To help tackle their busy schedules, both Miller and Law chose to hire 26-year-old Daisy Wright as a nanny for the child. Too bad Miller didn't know that her fiancé had a thing for blonde babysitters. In 2005, Wright told the press about their secret affair, which included being caught by one of his children while they were having sex. Law later announced that he was "deeply ashamed" for hurting Miller. Despite Law and Miller trying to work things out, they soon parted ways for good.
What does a brokenhearted celebrity do after her fiancé had an affair with the family nanny? She has a sexual rendezvous of her own! That's exactly what Miller did shortly after her relationship with Jude Law came to an end in 2006. During the summer of 2008, Miller began having an affair with actor Balthazar Getty, husband and father to four children. While both denied the relationship, photos of a topless Miller smooching Getty while vacationing together in Italy spoke for themselves. It was no surprise that his wife Rosetta, who was humiliated over the very public romance, immediately split from her cheating man. Even though Getty chose to abandon his wife and children for Miller, she had the last laugh by dumping him later that same year. Since then, both have remained single.
Did they or didn't they? It doesn't stop the media from wanting to know whether Madonna and New York Yankees baseball slugger Alex Rodriguez shared a passionate affair. The supposed relationship started when A-Rod attended Madonna's concert in New York City last year on April 30 - just nine days after his wife gave birth to their daughter in Miami. A month later, Madonna sat front row at a Yankees game with her son Rocco. Reports of A-Rod stopping by Madonna's Central Park apartment kept the doormen talking about the late-night visits for weeks. His wife Cynthia Rodriguez then filed for divorce, stating that her famous husband had emotionally abandoned her and their children. While Madonna denied any romantic involvement with him, one of Cynthia's lawyers, Maurice Kutner, told the press that A-Rod's "relationship with Madonna was the latest situation in a series of events" that doomed their marriage. Coincidently, Madonna also filed for divorced from her husband Guy Ritchie months later due to his "unreasonable behavior." Since then, rumors continue to fly of A-Rod studying Kabbalah, sharing cozy dinners with the Material Girl, and most recently, being jealous of her 22-year-old boy-toy Brazilian model Jesus Luz. Whether they share the same manager or not, Madonna and Alex's Rodriguez's secret relationship continues to confuse their fans.
You think being a blue-eyed star with a gorgeous British supermodel would keep you faithful? In the case of British actor Hugh Grant, the answer was a huge, shameless no. In 1995, Grant was arrested and charged with indecent conduct with a prostitute on Sunset Boulevard. Grant was obviously going to get caught, especially since he was in the middle of LA's busiest streets late at night and his foot kept stepping on the brake pedal while getting down to business, making the lights go on and off. AlthoughElizabeth Hurley stood by Grant after he made a public apology, their relationship ended in 2000. Hurley invited her ex-boyfriend to her 2007 wedding with Indian textile heir Arun Nayar, but Grant chose not to show off his mug in public.
It's been 46 years since America's most famous blonde bombshell stood on a stage in Madison Square Garden wearing a $12,000 barely-there dress, singing a breathless rendition of "Happy Birthday" to John F. Kennedy. It was reported that in early 1962, Marilyn Monroe befriended the married brothers and had affairs with them, including JFK, President of the United States and husband to style icon Jackie O, and Robert. The affairs ended shortly before her mysterious death that same year, which then began rumors of the Kennedys silencing her the day before she was to "tell all" at a press conference. However, we may never know whether the Kennedys had anything to do with Monroe's death or the truth behind their threesome. Both brothers were later assassinated.
It was a match made in hell that not even bloggers could have made up: a 40-year-old rock star develops a not-so-secret affair with a 19-year-old actress while still married to a burlesque dancer. However, in the case of Marilyn Manson, the relationship only became weirder, which didn't surprise fans. While Manson was in the middle of his divorce with Dita Von Teese, his new mistress appeared in the music video "Heart Shaped Glasses" while sporting a Lolita-inspired getup. In his latest musical release, the couple was seen having sex covered in blood on the bed that Manson once shared with his ex-wife while he was still wearing his wedding ring. Despite the shock rocker proclaiming Wood to be his "twin," the relationship, just like his marriage, ended.
The on-and-off relationship of Golden-era Hollywood actors Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton continues to be recognized as the epic love story of the 20th century. Their scandalous affair occurred in 1961 when they were co-starring in one of history's greatest romances, the film Cleopatra. As the steamy scenes appeared both on and off camera, their passion for each other grew stronger, driving the press wild in wanting to know every detail that went on between the two. Both were already married, but that didn't stop Taylor, who was known for stealing then-husband Eddie Fisher from Debbie Reynolds four years earlier. The $40 million film may have been hated by critics, but the affair continued to flourish. Both Taylor and Burton divorced their spouses and married each other in 1964. Although they later divorced in 1974, they gave their relationship another chance by remarrying in 1975. Sadly the second marriage only lasted a year and Burton died in 1984. The now 76-year-old veteran actress continues to wear a diamond given by her greatest love.
The 14-year marriage between country superstar Shania Twain and music producer Robert "Mutt" Lange may have been a century in Hollywood years, but it certainly wasn't long enough to overcome the major scandal that awaited the two. In 2008, the couple announced their separation, but all wasn't as it seemed. Although Lange claimed that the marriage ended because he and Twain simply grew apart, he was actually having an affair with Marie-Anne Thiebaud, a longtime secretary and manager of the couple's chateau in Switzerland, as well as Twain's best friend. Although he and his lover left their spouses for each other, Twain didn't just stay alone with a broken heart. Cheating is not only commonplace in “the real world” but also in Hollywood. We can’t possibly cover them all, but here are a few of the more well known slime-ball cheaters. Let’s start near the beginning… Clark Gable with Loretta Young (1935) While on the set for the movie The Call of the Wild in 1935, Gable and Young got acquainted in an intimate way. Clark Gable was married to Maria Franklin Printiss Lucas Langham at the time of the affair. Shortly it began, there would not be calls of the wild, but calls of a screaming infant. That’s right; Loretta Young became pregnant with Gable’s child, actress Judy Lewis. Humphrey Bogart with Lauren Bacall (1944) When Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart first met, Bogart (at age 45) was in a very rocky marriage. However, I doubt that his plans were to fall in love with a 19 year old. To no avail, he fell in love with Bacall and found himself torn between being loyal to his marriage and his love for another woman. Ironically, the two met on the set of the movie To Have and To Have Not. The next year, his love won out over the bad marriage. He divorced his wife and three months later he and Bacall were wed. Their encounters prior to Bogey’s divorce were discrete, but suspicious. You be the judge… Ingrid Bergman with Roberto Rossellini (1949 and 1950) The affair between Bergman and Rossellini was the most talked about of the times, and also the most scandalous. At the time of their encounters, Bergman was married to Aron Petter Lindström and Roberto Rossellini was married to Marcella De Marchis. When the news came out that Ingrid was pregnant with Roberto’s baby (Renato Roberto Giusto Giuseppe Rossellini; born February 7, 1950), there was an outrage. This was the best known scandal in several countries including the United States. Bergman was actually exiled from the U.S. for a time due to her affair. Richard Burton with Elizabeth Taylor (and many others) (1950s and 1963) Richard Burton’s sexual experimentation with men in the 1950s while he was married to Sybil Williams wasn’t known until he admitted it on television in the 1970s. However, the affair that’s a lot better known is that of Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. The two met during the filming of Cleopatra in 1963 and shortly after began a love affair though both were still married. Elizabeth Taylor: Two Main Affairs (1956 and 1963) Of her seven marriages, some were spread out a bit, while others were really close together, giving away the love affairs that transpired before the marriages were dissolved. In 1956, while married to Michael Wilding, she had an affair with film producer Michael Todd. She later married Todd just one week after her divorce was final from her previous marriage. As stated before, in 1963, while Taylor was married to her fourth husband Eddie Fisher, she and Richard Burton had an affair. Her divorce to Fisher was final on March 6, 1964 and she married Burton on March 15th the same year. Ali McGraw with Steve McQueen (1972) As fate would have it, Ali McGraw and Steve McQueen met on the set of Getaway in 1972. This is appropriate considering the two had a love affair and later McGraw would make a getaway from her husband Robert Evans in order to be with McQueen. In 1973 McQueen and McGraw were married. Wedded bliss? Maybe not. Look at who’s next on the list. Steve McQueen with Barbara Minty (1978) McQueen’s first marriage to actress Neile Adams ended in divorce because she said she was sick of the infidelity. Later he married actress Ali McGraw, but later left her for a young model named Barbara Minty. As far as we know, he was faithful to Minty. However, he died less than a year after they were married. Bruce Springsteen: Twice? (1988 and possibly 2006) If you were a child or a teen of the 1980s, you’ll certainly remember Bruce Springsteen. Well, in 1985, Springsteen finally gave up his bachelor’s lifestyle and married Julianne Phillips. Nonetheless, in 1988 he and his wife separated due to his affair with E Street band member Patti Scialfa. As soon as the couple separated, Bruce began living with Patti. Now let’s fast forward to 2001. After the tragedy on 911, Springsteen dedicated lots of time to organizing and performing in benefits to help families of victims. In 2006, a huge rumor came out about the rock star having an affair with a 911 widow. The reports were never confirmed. Jack Nicholson with Rebecca Broussard (1989) In 1973, Nicholson married actress Anjelica Houston. However, in 1989, the relationship abruptly ended because of news in the media. Word was out that Rebecca Broussard was pregnant with Nicholson’s child. Really, what did Anjelica Houston expect? Nicholson has had a reputation for eons as a womanizer. Donald Trump with Marla Maples (1990) While married to Ivana, Donald reportedly had many affairs, but the “big one” to hit tabloids happened around Christmas time in 1990.This was involving Trump and Marla Maples. In 1991, Ivana filed for divorce and in the end got tons of money. He married Maples in 1993, but they divorced in 1998. There were suspicions of Trump being involved with many women, but nothing has ever been confirmed. Prince Charles with Camilla Parker-Bowles (1989 and early 1990s) Prince Charming? Apparently not. In 1989, the British tabloids came into the possession of a recording of a telephone call between Prince Charles and Camilla. It was obvious that the two were involved despite his marriage to Princess Diana. Though Diana tried to reconcile her marriage, the affair between Camilla and Charles continued. Princess Diana with James Hewitt (early 1990s) What’s good for the goose… well, you know the rest. When all of Princess Diana’s attempts in her marriage had failed, it seems that she took comfort in another man’s arms. This was her riding instructor, James Hewitt. Though the affair wasn’t nearly as publicized as the one between her husband and Camilla Parker-Bowles, Diana admitted the affair on television in 1995. It seems as if this marriage was a royal mess. Woody Allen and Sun-Yi Previn (1992) If you weren’t old enough to know about this tremendously publicized affair when it happened, it may be a little confusing. So, try and stay with me as I explain this one. Sun-Yi was the adopted daughter of Mia Farrow and Andre Piven. Woody Allen and Farrow dated for 12 years, but they never married or lived together. In 1992, news broke that Woody Allen had nude photos of Sun-Yi in his possession. Wow! Sun-Yi was only 22 and Allen was 56 years old. This was enough for longtime girlfriend Mia Farrow. She and Allen split. Immediately after the separation, Woody Allen started dating Sun-Yi and they later married in 1997. The media broadcasted the news as if Allen was sleeping with his step daughter. As strange as the scandal was, it’s technically not true that Sun-Yi and Woody Allen were step-dad and daughter. Hugh Grant with prostitute “Divine Brown” (1995) While most celebrities will have affairs with other glamorous celebrities or sexy admiring fans, Hugh Grant is wired a little differently. Instead of getting involved with all of the glam, glitz and excitement, he decided to seek the services of prostitute “Divine Brown” for oral sex while married to Elizabeth Hurley. He was caught and arrested, of course. How embarrassing! Frank Gifford with Suzen Johnson (1997) He was framed (sort of)! In 1997, tabloid paper The Globe hired flight attendant Suzen Johnson to seduce Frank Gifford while they recorded the event. So, no onemade him cheat on his wife Kathy Lee, but he was set up. He confided in the flight attendant that this wasn’t the first time he’d cheated on his wife, but it had been about ten years since the last. After the incident pictures of Gifford and the flight attendant were plastered everywhere. Kathy Lee stuck by her man and they’re still married to this day. Kobe Bryant with Katelyn Faber (2003) Some people will do anything to make money. I’m sure you remember this big scandal. Kobe Bryant had this little one night-flight with a 19 year old hotel employee while married to Vanessa Laine Bryant, and it turned into a huge fiasco. This girl, Katelyn Faber, with whom he claimed to have consensual sex, charged him with rape. The following year, the charges against Bryant were dropped, but the humiliation and embarrassment for both he and his wife were out in the open. In 2008, rumors were flying around that Kobe Bryant was having an affair with an eighteen year old Lakers cheerleader, Vanessa Curry. The story was never confirmed. Jennifer Lopez with Ben Affleck (2003) The affair between Lopez and Affleck just kind of slipped by the radar, though their full blown relationship that followed was under the media microscope from its conception until the big breakup. In 2001, Jennifer Lopez married Cris Judd. In June 2002, news came out about Lopez and Affleck dating. At the same time, media reported the break up between J.Lo and Cris Judd. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Ethan Hawke with Ryan Shawhughes (2003) While married to Uma Thurman, Ethan Hawke had an affair with his nanny Ryan Shawhughes. After the marriage between Thurman and Hawke dissolved, Ethan and the nanny got married and now have a child together. Here’s hoping she’s smart enough to take care of her own child rather than hire a nanny! Jude Law with Daisy Wright (2005) Another nanny story? Yep. Jude was engaged to Sienna Miller when he cheated on her with his nanny Daisy Wright. After the affair was broadcast, he publicly apologized to Miller. When the news came out that Ingrid was pregnant with Roberto’s baby (Renato Roberto Giusto Giuseppe Rossellini; born February 7, 1950), there was an outrage. This was the best known scandal in several countries including the United States. Bergman was actually exiled from the U.S. for a time due to her affair. Richard Burton with Elizabeth Taylor (and many others) (1950s and 1963) Richard Burton’s sexual experimentation with men in the 1950s while he was married to Sybil Williams wasn’t known until he admitted it on television in the 1970s. However, the affair that’s a lot better known is that of Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. The two met during the filming of Cleopatra in 1963 and shortly after began a love affair though both were still married. Elizabeth Taylor: Two Main Affairs (1956 and 1963) Of her seven marriages, some were spread out a bit, while others were really close together, giving away the love affairs that transpired before the marriages were dissolved. In 1956, while married to Michael Wilding, she had an affair with film producer Michael Todd. She later married Todd just one week after her divorce was final from her previous marriage. As stated before, in 1963, while Taylor was married to her fourth husband Eddie Fisher, she and Richard Burton had an affair. Her divorce to Fisher was final on March 6, 1964 and she married Burton on March 15th the same year. Ali McGraw with Steve McQueen (1972) As fate would have it, Ali McGraw and Steve McQueen met on the set of Getaway in 1972. This is appropriate considering the two had a love affair and later McGraw would make a getaway from her husband Robert Evans in order to be with McQueen. In 1973 McQueen and McGraw were married. Wedded bliss? Maybe not. Look at who’s next on the list. Steve McQueen with Barbara Minty (1978) McQueen’s first marriage to actress Neile Adams ended in divorce because she said she was sick of the infidelity. Later he married actress Ali McGraw, but later left her for a young model named Barbara Minty. As far as we know, he was faithful to Minty. However, he died less than a year after they were married. Bruce Springsteen: Twice? (1988 and possibly 2006) If you were a child or a teen of the 1980s, you’ll certainly remember Bruce Springsteen. Well, in 1985, Springsteen finally gave up his bachelor’s lifestyle and married Julianne Phillips. Nonetheless, in 1988 he and his wife separated due to his affair with E Street band member Patti Scialfa. As soon as the couple separated, Bruce began living with Patti. Now let’s fast forward to 2001. After the tragedy on 911, Springsteen dedicated lots of time to organizing and performing in benefits to help families of victims. In 2006, a huge rumor came out about the rock star having an affair with a 911 widow. The reports were never confirmed. Jack Nicholson with Rebecca Broussard (1989) In 1973, Nicholson married actress Anjelica Houston. However, in 1989, the relationship abruptly ended because of news in the media. Word was out that Rebecca Broussard was pregnant with Nicholson’s child. Really, what did Anjelica Houston expect? Nicholson has had a reputation for eons as a womanizer. Donald Trump with Marla Maples (1990) While married to Ivana, Donald reportedly had many affairs, but the “big one” to hit tabloids happened around Christmas time in 1990.This was involving Trump and Marla Maples. In 1991, Ivana filed for divorce and in the end got tons of money. He married Maples in 1993, but they divorced in 1998. There were suspicions of Trump being involved with many women, but nothing has ever been confirmed. Prince Charles with Camilla Parker-Bowles (1989 and early 1990s) Prince Charming? Apparently not. In 1989, the British tabloids came into the possession of a recording of a telephone call between Prince Charles and Camilla. It was obvious that the two were involved despite his marriage to Princess Diana. Though Diana tried to reconcile her marriage, the affair between Camilla and Charles continued. Princess Diana with James Hewitt (early 1990s) What’s good for the goose… well, you know the rest. When all of Princess Diana’s attempts in her marriage had failed, it seems that she took comfort in another man’s arms. This was her riding instructor, James Hewitt. Though the affair wasn’t nearly as publicized as the one between her husband and Camilla Parker-Bowles, Diana admitted the affair on television in 1995. It seems as if this marriage was a royal mess. Woody Allen and Sun-Yi Previn (1992) If you weren’t old enough to know about this tremendously publicized affair when it happened, it may be a little confusing. So, try and stay with me as I explain this one. Sun-Yi was the adopted daughter of Mia Farrow and Andre Piven. Woody Allen and Farrow dated for 12 years, but they never married or lived together. In 1992, news broke that Woody Allen had nude photos of Sun-Yi in his possession. Wow! Sun-Yi was only 22 and Allen was 56 years old. This was enough for longtime girlfriend Mia Farrow. She and Allen split. Immediately after the separation, Woody Allen started dating Sun-Yi and they later married in 1997. The media broadcasted the news as if Allen was sleeping with his step daughter. As strange as the scandal was, it’s technically not true that Sun-Yi and Woody Allen were step-dad and daughter. Hugh Grant with prostitute “Divine Brown” (1995) While most celebrities will have affairs with other glamorous celebrities or sexy admiring fans, Hugh Grant is wired a little differently. Instead of getting involved with all of the glam, glitz and excitement, he decided to seek the services of prostitute “Divine Brown” for oral sex while married to Elizabeth Hurley. He was caught and arrested, of course. How embarrassing! Frank Gifford with Suzen Johnson (1997) He was framed (sort of)! In 1997, tabloid paper The Globe hired flight attendant Suzen Johnson to seduce Frank Gifford while they recorded the event. So, no onemade him cheat on his wife Kathy Lee, but he was set up. He confided in the flight attendant that this wasn’t the first time he’d cheated on his wife, but it had been about ten years since the last. After the incident pictures of Gifford and the flight attendant were plastered everywhere. Kathy Lee stuck by her man and they’re still married to this day. Kobe Bryant with Katelyn Faber (2003) Some people will do anything to make money. I’m sure you remember this big scandal. Kobe Bryant had this little one night-flight with a 19 year old hotel employee while married to Vanessa Laine Bryant, and it turned into a huge fiasco. This girl, Katelyn Faber, with whom he claimed to have consensual sex, charged him with rape. The following year, the charges against Bryant were dropped, but the humiliation and embarrassment for both he and his wife were out in the open. In 2008, rumors were flying around that Kobe Bryant was having an affair with an eighteen year old Lakers cheerleader, Vanessa Curry. The story was never confirmed. Jennifer Lopez with Ben Affleck (2003) The affair between Lopez and Affleck just kind of slipped by the radar, though their full blown relationship that followed was under the media microscope from its conception until the big breakup. In 2001, Jennifer Lopez married Cris Judd. In June 2002, news came out about Lopez and Affleck dating. At the same time, media reported the break up between J.Lo and Cris Judd. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Ethan Hawke with Ryan Shawhughes (2003) While married to Uma Thurman, Ethan Hawke had an affair with his nanny Ryan Shawhughes. After the marriage between Thurman and Hawke dissolved, Ethan and the nanny got married and now have a child together. Here’s hoping she’s smart enough to take care of her own child rather than hire a nanny! Jude Law with Daisy Wright (2005) Another nanny story? Yep. Jude was engaged to Sienna Miller when he cheated on her with his nanny Daisy Wright. After the affair was broadcast, he publicly apologized to Miller. Brad Pitt with Angelina Jolie (2005) Brad Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston while he was on the set making the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Later, he and Aniston split up and he immediately started dating Angelina Jolie. Aniston claimed that there was an affair going on between Jolie and Pitt, but the two initially denied the allegations. To no surprise to anyone, Angelina Jolie later admitted the affair. Peter Cook with Diana Bianchi (2008) Peter Cook isn’t a celebrity per say, but he’s well known because of who he married. In 1996, he and former model Christie Brinkley were wed. In 2008, Brinkley filed for divorce, partly due to his infidelity. After a sex tape with he and eighteen year old Diana Bianchi surfaced, Cook admitted the affair.
